AHIMA 2013 About Much More Than ICD-10
While ICD-10 appeared to dominate the 85th Annual AHIMA Convention & Exhibit on the surface, a much more compelling HIM story was unfolding at the event if you looked a little deeper.

The 85th Annual AHIMA Convention & Exhibit was held October 26-30 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
The 85th AHIMA Convention and Exhibit drew health information management thought leaders and professionals and healthcare executives from all areas of health informatics and information management for a weeklong focus on HIM’s global transformation.
Opening ceremony speakers included Angela C. Kennedy, EdD, MBA, RHIA President/Chair, AHIMA Board of Directors and Lynne Thomas Gordon, MBA, RHIA, CAE, FACHE, FAHIMA, AHIMA CEO.

The opening ceremony started with an emotional tribute to Kathleen A. Frawley, 2013 President/Chair, AHIMA Board of Directors.
